JON RICHE - DIRECTOR

BIOGRAPHY

After studying illustration and animation at UCE Birmingham, Jon graduated with First Class Honours in Visual Communication.

He quickly moved into directing music video’s for artists such as, Kasabian, Moby and The Feeling and made commercials for the likes of, IBM, Nissan, Ikea and Nike. Quickly gaining a reputation for having an eye for comedy and being good with acting talent, Jon has worked with Sharon Horgan, Graham Norton, Chris Evans, Gordon Ramsey, Michael Gambon, and Paul Kaye.

Jon is also a fantastic illustrator with a uniquely charming style and has designed both GG and puppet characters for many of his campaigns. This often comes in handy when working with tight budgets.

Jon is a great ideas man, always bringing an extra joke or two to the party, throwing himself into every role on the set whether it be storyboarding, puppeteering, acting out scenes in one of his famous test films and even animating when called upon. His passion is infectious and spreads to all the members of the crew.

Jon has won many awards and nominations for my commercials work - D&AD, Cannes Lions, BTAA Arrows and the APA 50.

Alongside the advertising work I also write and direct for tv and have collaborated with comedians such as Nick Helm, Romesh Ranganathan, Sarah Pascoe, Asim Chaudrey (Chabuddy G), Pat Cahil and Spencer Jones (Herbert Clunkerdunk) with whom I created ‘Big Babies’, a BAFTA nominated and award winning children’s television show produced for the BBC. As well as a BBC comedy pilot starring Nick Helm (Uncle) for Baby Cow and a BAFTA nominated BBC Short starring Spencer Jones for Tiger Aspect.

If you need a hands on director who's all over every aspect of your job, then look no further.
